Imagine that you have been employed most of your adult life. Then some medical condition made it impossible for you to continue working. Now you are on social security disability insurance. But you do not feel complete. You would like to work again. There is a program called ' Ticket to work Program'. Ticket to Work connects you with free employment services to help you decide if working is right for you, prepare for work, find a job or maintain success while you are working. If you choose to participate then you will receive job training and placement. They offer career counseling. 

Everyone age 18 through 64 who receives Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and/or Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits because of his or her disability is eligible to participate in the Ticket to Work program. Participation in the Ticket to Work program. This program  is free and voluntary.

This program benefits everyone. You will be trained in a career and helped to find a job. As a result of this job training, you are given a chance to be financially independent of social security.
